The Southend 10k Classic and LATEST INFORMATION

The 2009 Southend 10K Classic is organised by Southend Athletic Club and sponsored by Original Sports will be held on Sunday 4th October. There will also be a children’s fun run of approximately 3k which is open to children aged 11-14 years on the day.

The current race records are 28m 49s (men) and 33m 18s (women).  The course is virtually flat and is mostly run along the seafront.  With co-operation of Southend Borough Council and Essex Police we are now able to provide a traffic free course.

Last year there were 1542 finishers in the 10k and 84 finishers in the 3k fun run.
