Held at East Beach, Shoeburyness, Essex
The race is aproximately 3 kms and everyone is welcome - adults and children.
You dont have to run, you can walk - push pushchairs and even bring your dog!

This years Southend 10k Classic will be the 23rd In the series of classic road races hosted by Southend-on-Sea Athletic Club. We are greatful for the support of the Southend Borough Council and Southend Police for help in planning the race on Southend's roads.
Southend Classic
Road race - 10,000 meters, accurately measured, starting at 10.30 a.m.
Open to all runners.
Entry fee £10 for runners affiliated to UK Athletics; £12 for unattached runners.
Team Awards: men 1st 4 to score; Women: 1st 3 to score (There are no vet's team awards)
Races Feature
Full medical backup by St. John Ambulance.
Race clocks at finish and on lead car.
Fast flat course along the Southend Sea Front.
Special commemorative tee shirt free to all 10k & Fun Run finishers.
Traffic free course.
Children's Fun Run
Open to children ages 11 - 14 years on the day of race. Entry fee £3.
The course is approx 3,000 metres but cannot be accurately measured as it is
subject to police restrictions concerning the "turn round" point on the road which may
change due to local traffic conditions. However, the course will be traffic free.
Medals will only be awarded to
the first 3 boys and first 3 girls this year.
