SOUTHEND HALF MARATHON
The event this year will be held on 13th June 2010 starting and finishing at East Beach, Shoeburyness. The Half Marathon is a 2 lap traffic free circuit following the picturesque coast of Southend on Sea. All finishers receive a medal, and there are prizes in all categories. Event T shirts are available to purchase either before the event or on race day at a cost of £5. Facilities include free parking, changing facilities, free baggage store, hot and cold refreshments. Postal applications are also accepted, please download a form from this website or via www.havenshospices.org.uk. Both the Half Marathon and Fun Run are fund raising events for Havens Hospices who offer respite and end of life care for adults and children in the local area. Caring for the whole family our specialist services are free to all who need them. The Hospices cost £5.1m a year to run and the support of the local community is vital to help us continue caring.
